An examiner attorneys have trusted for four decades.
Daniel A. Brzusek, D.O., M.Sc.
Board-certified physiatrist and independent medical examiner providing impartial, meticulously documented evaluations and credible court testimony for plaintiff and defense firms, insurers, and self-insured employers.
Why firms retain Dr. Brzusek
Credibility that holds up under cross-examination.
For an expert witness, the record is everything. Dr. Brzusek brings four decades of clinical practice, academic faculty appointments, and a volume of medico-legal experience that few physicians in the region can match.
Impartial & Defensible
Independent examinations and file reviews built on objective findings, not advocacy, with documentation prepared to withstand scrutiny.
Deep Clinical Rooting
Active physiatric practice since 1976, with hospital privileges and professorships that anchor his opinions in current medicine.
Unmatched Volume
More than 10,000 independent examinations and 5,000 depositions mean a familiarity with the medico-legal process that reads as calm, clear testimony.
A career of distinction
From residency to Regional Dean.
Dr. Brzusek earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 1970 and has practiced physical medicine and rehabilitation continuously since 1976. He directed PM&R services at Valley Medical Center and Overlake Hospital, served as Clinical Professor at the University of Washington, and today is Regional Dean of the Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine.
His work spans clinical care, academic medicine, and forensic examination, giving him a rare breadth across the disciplines that attorneys rely on.
